Lonely Planet Of course, I expected the same from Laura Dern
Scenario
At a retreat in Morocco, a woman meets a young man whose acquaintance develops into an intoxicating, life-changing love affair. The Blue City is located in the city of Chefchaouen in Morocco. Wassulu DonWritten & Performed by Oumou Sangaré Courtesy of World Circuit Limited, a BMG Company. And she didn’t really disappoint me, it’s just that the script doesn’t give her much room to show the depth of her character, if any.
She put a lot of effort in though
I like the first part of the film, the slow fast forward, the introductory part. The beautiful scenery and background of Morocco helped them a lot. It’s definitely not Lonely Planet with repeated scenes of crowded markets. Then it turned to another simple Hollywood love story.
I don’t mind the chemistry and age difference
They could remain good friends who support each other while going through difficulties, that won’t change the story (but probably won’t sell it). Even the S3X scene was unnecessary and awkward. The girl is so boring, if it’s the script, then she handled her role well. However, she managed to keep her shrill voice down.
In this day and age?
After that, the film went downhill. A famous writer who didn’t support her two-year writing spree? She uses a MacBook, everything should be on iCloud anyway. They don’t do a particularly good job of convincing us.
